"Be My Valentine" Bunny

This is one of my larger primitive rabbits.  He is 12" tall, handpainted and aged to look old.  His ears are lined with a vintage polka dot fabric.

His whiskers are flax and he has a needle felted wool tail.  Wool and flax are sourced from a local farm.

He has a bowtie also made from vintage red plaid fabric and is holding an antique red velvet heart which is backed by wool.

"Love Grows" Hanging Heart

A little rabbit and a vase full of flowers, all stitched together with bits and pieces of vintage textiles.

A few antique calico buttons too.  The back is a beautiful antique red velvet.

The entire heart is made from old fabrics, except for the ribbon that is used for hanging. 

Such a happy piece to create.

Heart is 7" x 7"

Total hanging length is 9"

Appliqued flowers and bumblebees, made from old little bits of textiles. 

 

Calico button and a bone button too. 

Many little stitches here and there and everywhere.

Such a joy to create.

Made from natural grain sack. Sweet hand stitched patch made from early fabric.  Measures 7"x8", not including the hanging loop.  The backside is unbleached natural osnaburg.  Beautiful texture.

"I wear your heart around my neck" Primitive Rabbits ~ BOTH SOLD

I have two large primitive rabbits that have a valentine (removable) around their neck, and also wearing an early fabric necktie.

They are 12" tall, have a stitched face, flax whiskers, and a needle felted wool tail. Weighted lightly for easy standing. The red heart has an early quilt patch and "love" patch hand stitched on to it.

~Rabbits with a Big Heart~

Bunnies are seated and stitched in a stationary position.  They are 12" tall sitting.  Eyes are applied and french knotted. Nose's and mouths are stitched.  Applied brown homespun hearts. Needlefelted wool tails.

~Calico Keepsake Sewing Box Set~

This heart shaped box is covered in the prettiest brown calico with red berries.  It measures 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 2" tall.  

Tucked inside is a velvet pincushion and a little strawberry emery. Both are made from early fabrics and filled with crushed walnut shells.  Also included is a lovely old dressmakers pin.

February Offerings ~ Blue Valentines

 ~Lil' Mouse Pincushion Set~

Bad mousie, chewed a hole in this this little heart pincushion. Not to worry, it has been fixed with a tiny patch.

Pincushion is made from antique blue velvet and backed with old linen homespun.  It is filled with sheep's wool. 3" by 3"

Mouse has stitched eyes, flax whiskers, wiry tail with rusty bell, and is wearing a wool blue scarf.

 He is weighted, and stands 3" tall.

This is a one of a kind set and will be signed and dated.
