Blue Angel
Just over 15" tall, she is wearing the prettiest blue dress made from old homespun, with bloomers of antique repro calico. Her wings are batting from an early quilt. She is filled with rags.
She has a sweet stitched face in muted colors. Her halo is tallow berries on her applied wool hair.
Tucked in her hands is a vintage silver bell. She can hang or sit.
Made with lots of love and stitches. I think she would be just lovely displayed, not just for Christmas but all year long.

Made from 4 different antique repro calicos. The letters are handcut and stitched on using old wool.
Each triangle is 7 1/2" wide at the top and is 10" long.
Length from the "h" to the "e" is 34", with the total length counting the hemp roping for hanging 93".

Grandmother's House
A simple and primitive wall hanging....entirely hand stitched made from old and early fabrics with a linen border and a few old bone buttons.
While working on this I ran out of daylight. Above is taken in my studio completed. Below are the squares in natural light outside.
Completed piece is 14" x 6 1/2"
This piece is near and dear to my heart....I see a lot of turkey this time of year in Pennsylvania and they are always an inspiration to me!
