I really enjoyed making this sweet set. The heart shaped box is covered with a wonderful brown linen homespun.
It measures 4 1/2" by 4 1/2" and is 2 1/2" tall.
The top I made to look like a piece of an old sampler. It is cushioned with a piece of batting underneath and hand-stitched to the top of the the box.
The little cloth bird is rag-filled and measures 4" long. All of his seams have been stitched over. (Click on photos to enlarge)
The inside lid is lined with a love poem in script.
